Yall already know-- I get pimples like nobody's business lol. Apparently it's hereditary.. except everyone else has grown out of it, but me. lol
I had a really bad breakout a few weeks ago when I decided to try the oil cleansing method without following directions. I don't think I fully got the oil out of my pores each day, so my pores were getting clogged up. I had been using the Black Soap bar but wanted a deep cleaning scrub to use about twice a week.
I went out on a limb and bought the St. Ive's Apricot Scrub for Blemish and Blackhead Control. I trust the brand so I was comfortable in my choice lol. It cost about $3.50 and I can tell it's going to last for awhile. If you're a frugal fannie like me, this is a SCORE lol.
It's a light scrub so it exfoliates and cleanses without stripping your face and leaving it dry. I also have extra dry, sensitive skin (smh right?) so I have to be very careful with scrubs. When I first used it, I had a big pimple on my chin and after using it, the pimple had shrunk tremendously the next day. My face felt pretty clean and smooth too.
CONCLUSION: This is definetely a part of my skincare regimen now! I use it twice a week and then use the Black Soap Bar twice a day (okay im lyin. i shoot for twice, but am doing good with once lol). I follow up with a light moisturizer that is so old that the brand name isn't even visible anymore lol. I think it may have been Noxzema? *scratches head*
IDK why but my chin is a problem spot for me and my acne lol
You can see the consistency of the product... it's grainy but not overbearing.
It's pretty thin when you put it on--it's a scrub, not a mask. So if you want something that's thicker and made to stay on longer, this isn't for you. :(
Anyone use St. Ive's products? They get a 5 out of 5 in my book. My face has cleared up a lot. I rarely even wear my makeup now :)

Hey darling. I also use this once a week on my face and skin because it's actually supposed to be one of the best skin exfoliaters for the price. Was told by the derm though, that it can be pretty abrasive on the face so don't use more than once a week on Black skin. He def recommended it for the body and back esp. Hope this helps :))
