Fasting from Facebook... let us pray

So right around New Years my facebook account was hacked into and I haven't been able to sign in ever since then. At first I was like this isn't going to be that bad, someone will fix the problem, and I'll be up and running in no time. Welp, two weeks later I have not even seen a fb page. Somewhat forgot what it looks like. I know you're like it's just facebook why she trippin'? Well let it be known I'm not tripping but I'm going through serious withdrawals!!!! I feel like I don't know what's going on in everyones life. Not like I personally know the thousands of friends I had anyway but still. I have an urge to ask who's in a new relationship, piece together fb beef, and go through photo albums on my free time. Like seriously, I'm lost! I feel like I'm giving up smoking not social networking. Sadly, I've gained weight over the last two weeks too. Smh, being nosey on fb kept me slim and trim.

Good things came out of it though... My boyfriend decided to give up his facebook account and for the last two weeks I feel like we've talked more than our whole relationship lol. I can't just look on fb to see what he's doing. Get this--- I actually have to call him :o WHO KNEW?!?!?! We talk more, laugh more, and there are no more arguments over fb. If you haven't caught our video on how fb affects relationships then please do! Facebook and Relationships Yal know I hate froggy females lol, but since we don't have fb we don't have something to fuss over. Granted people will always "leap off their lilly pads" but having one less thing to worry about is lovely.

Basically, I forgot what it was like to have real personal relationships that didn't have any assistance from social networking. YOU SHOULD TRY IT!!! It's great. But really take time out to try to communicate with people like we did in the olden days before fb... like in 2006 lol.

  1. I gave up Facebook and Myspace like 2 years ago. It just became too much drama and its so time consuming when you get addicted to it. Since I've been off, my grades have gotten better, everybody isn't all in my business and I have more time to do constructive things.

  2. This is such a good post. You are SO right is SO many ways. I should probably go on a FB fast myself. Like you I'll never admit I'm an addict, but I just think it might be a fun test. I wonder if I can last a week. Hmm...

    Good read!
