It opened my eyes and showed me that I am a social eater. I eat for the sake of camaraderie. When I come home from college, the best way for me to catch up with friends is around the table at IHOP, Ruby Tuesday's, Fridays, Chipotle, etc. After catching up with my friends, I've probably eaten out 7 times... often in the same week. Whenever I want to get out of the house, I head out to a restaurant... it's the cheapest and easiest way to be social!This, in addition to the realization that I have gained countless pounds in college and given up on the gym, is going to be my motivation for living healthier starting in 2011. Though I could stand to lose a few pounds, that's not really my focus.
I want to be more active physically, eat more nutritously, find other ways to be social outside of eating, cook for myself (my Dad does all the cooking and he FRIES EVERYTHING! lol), etc. So throughout this year *crosses fingers* you're going to see more content that follows me on this journey!

OH AND my goal is to accomplish this all WITHOUT a gym membership! Healthy living is something that so many people struggle with and everyone doesn't have money for the gym, or time to go to the gym, so I want to show that weight loss/nutritous eating/ etc. is possible without the gym!
