On the rise of blogging, YouTube and product reviews…
Search “Jane Carter” on YouTube and you’ll see plenty of videos coming up of product reviews. Search Google and you’re bound to see bloggers thoughts on the products. I was interested in seeing if she every Googles herself (lol my mom used to Google me… not sure why lol) or watches the videos about her products. She shared that she has a publicist who gets Google alerts whenever someone mentions Jane Carter and she sifts through all that’s out there. She herself has also watched some videos and when she sees negative reviews, she doesn’t hesitate to personally contact the person to see why they were dissatisfied.  She strongly believes in being hands-on and appreciates the feedback because it’s super valuable to get responses about products- blogging is a powerful tool. “If you really want to know what people are thinking, they will tell you.”

On advice for new naturals…
“Some people will love you with curly hair and some love you with straight hair. Find what you are comfortable with and what you think works for you. Determine the look you are trying to accomplish.”
INTERESTING TIP- “If you don’t relax your hair, there’s little hair color variation. Hair can look dark and flat at times when you don’t have relaxer. I’d suggest using some type of color in the hair whether color or highlights by someone with a  good understanding of hair application.”

She also advises that constant flat ironing your hair will damage your natural hair, so many people think that by going without a relaxer, they are natural, but the damage will in fact hide your natural texture, so if you want the curls, go for it without a heavy dependence on flat irons.

On advice for entrepreneurs…
“Call me. I’ll tell you exactly what to do because it’s a lot of work.”

And that quote, ladies and gentleman, sums up my thoughts of Jane Carter, the CEO of Jane Carter Solution. A friendly, personable, selfless, hardworking woman! I was so inspired and humbled to talk with Jane Carter! Thanks to all the readers who suggested that we contact her! She has been so generous to us and the blog! Head to your nearest Target or Whole Foods and purchase some of her great products!:)
