So lately I've been really stressed out... and at this point, I'm not even sure what it is exactly that I'm stressed out about. It's most likely a combination of factors- student teaching, working everyday after teaching, blogging, attempting a social life... all while trying to get a healthy amount of sleep.
Let me tell you- I have failed miserably at getting a good amount of sleep. I am always feeling exhausted, no matter what. I just feel exhausted and drained :-/
I have become a coffee addict and drink at least one cup (my cup is equivalent to 4 cups actually) a day. Without it, I feel like my day is incomplete.
Also, because I'm so stressed out and tired, I have not been packing my lunches at night nor planning enough snacks for the day, so I have been eating out more/spending more money out.
I'm disappointed in myself! Needless to say, NO WEIGHT LOSS these last 2 weeks!
Conclusion: Manage your stress in order to remain healthy. Stress will cause you to have unhealthy habits, eat unhealthily, eat fast food more, work out less, get less sleep, feel more frazzled, etc.
*inserts 50 thumbs down* I'm hoping to get it together soon, yall! What do you do when you're stressed out?
I listen to music. Scream( family members and roommates do not appreciate this one so you should do it outside ). I read my bible. I also start at task I know will be get accomplished and is easy to complete (one load of laundry, one small things on the to do list.) I'm praying for you.... I know it easy to backslide especially when stress weighs you down.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kenya. Listening to music helps but even better is being proactive to prevent stress in the first place.
ReplyDeleteIf you know that certain things cause you to wind up easily avoid them. Protect your schedule from overwhelm and cut down on that caffeine! :-)
I have a little boy with special needs and am well acquainted with stress. I just take extra steps to avoid it when I can.
