Do You 'Protective Style'?

This week's Tweetin Thursdays question was:

"Do you PT (protective style)? Why or why not?"

 Here's what you all said!

--I love my mini twist. its more easier to manage, my hair isn't always as dry then plus its cute:)

--No because I like to get my hair wet!

--Yes in the summer time sun dry's hair out greatly. Winter time the various weather conditions can make your hair variable.

--No! Because I miss being able to touch my crowning glory.

--Nope, I don't over work my hair so I don't have a need.

What do you think? Is protective styling necessary?

  1. i agree with the first statement. my favorite protective style is indeed small twists for those exact reasons. i think protective styling is important because it leaves you to not have to worry about your hair every single day just moisturize and go..especially for me being a college student who has to put more time into studying than into my hair. i also its necessary for less hand-in-hair syndrome (we all have it) lol Protective styles are beneficial to me.. :)

  2. I protective style often, less for protecting and more for easy maintenance. 90% of the time I have medium/small twists in, and then those result in nice twist outs for the rest of the time.
