Testimony Tuesdays: 08/23/11

Question from PND reader: Why do you go to church 30 minutes away from your house? There aren't any good churches around you?

Jameka's Answer: LOL. I'm sure there are good churches near me. I've been to some but they just didn't seem like places that I was going to be fed spiritually. My church hasn't always been 30 minutes away. I've been there for the past 14 years and when my family and I first started going there, we lived just around the corner. We've moved twice since then and since we liked it so much, we continue to make the drive.

When it comes to a good church, I feel like:
Your dream job or perfect job most likely won't be 2 minutes from yourself. Up in this area, people commute anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours to get to their job because it's a "government job", which is known for being better paying. I think that a place to worship God and grow spiritually is worth the same distance.

Every place with a steeple on top isn't a church.
