RIP WHITNEY HOUSTON
I, with many others around the world, was shocked and devastated to hear of the death of the great Whitney Houston last night. As my sister and I kicked back, pulled up YouTube, and belted out Whitney's tunes all night, I couldn't help but stop and think, Where are the musical legends of this generation?
We can all sit around and bring up Whitney's life struggles, but one thing that is undisputed is her vocal talent. It is a vocal talent that has been/is unmatched. Her voice captivated all that heard it... so I can only stop and think who does that in 2012? Really, I could think of no one.
Music is such a powerful thing and real music/real musicians is/are a dying breed. As many musical legends are now passing, it's scary to think about what music will be in the forthcoming years. I mean- look at its state now. Will our children ever appreciate real music? Will we mourn any deaths of those that currently don the face of music today?
You are soooo right;
