Rethinking Fast Food Choices

So I'm still going strong with following a vegetarian lifestyle! I started in January and wouldn't have thought that in April, I'd still be meatless.

I'll be doing a post and maybe a video on Vegetarian Living Updates soon.

With following such a lifestyle, you're forced to change many of your eating habits, of course. It's hard to realize how meat eating/processed foods becomes so embedded in your life, until you try to rid yourself of it.

Now, I'm slowly weaning myself off of fast food dependency, but it's hard! I have been pushing myself to rethink what foods I'm choosing.

At first, I would get a large fry and water and call it a day. But of course, those empty calories left me full but still hungry. As of late, I've been getting:

1) Fruit N Yogurt Parfait- no matter the time of day. It's filling yet light.

2) Meatless Biscuits for breakfast- I've always loved McDonalds biscuits and have missed em since being a vegetarian. I don't make it a regular habit, but I've just been getting the biscuit and grape jelly for breakfast.

Of course those are for McDonalds.

For the few times I go to Taco Bell, I get a nachos bell grande sans beef.

I don't eat at Burger King.

I've also been into Panera (pick two: broccoli cheddar cheese soup and caesar salad) and more Chipotle (veggie bowl with both beans, corn, guacamole, sour cream and cheese) lately. Neither are necessarily fast food, but they kind of are lol. Both meals are pretty huge so I only eat 1/2 or 1/3 of it at a time and save it for later.
