Changes in my lifestyle over the last 2.5 weeks have been:
- Drinking more water
- Getting more sleep
- Limiting my time on the computer
- Packing my lunch every night
- Putting snacks in my car to stop me from eating out
- Only eating fast food for special circumstances!
- Eating breakfast daily
- Alternating coffee with tea every other day
- Using honey in my tea instead of sugar
It has been working out great for me BUT I can't lie... I've been stressed out and sick, which may have contributed to the weight loss :-/ I have worked out once. And by work out, I mean, accidentally walking through the city of Richmond, up and down the steps because I got lost lol. BUT I did it in like, 3 inch heels so that's gotta be worth something lol
My main goal for the next 2 weeks is to incorporate exercise into my mornings, 3 times a week. I've been using SparkPeople.com on my Blackberry and online, but I just haven't brought myself to doing the workouts that it recommends :-/ I know, I know. I've got to do better!
I'll keep you all posted! Here's an updated pic too!
PS I hope that my pics/posts have motivated some of you all! I've been contacted by several people who said they were (and that they would be my e-buddies during the journey), which makes me happy because I'm definitely taking a "leap of faith" by posting these pics lol because they're definitely not flattering, but if they encourage others, that's fine. LOL I had some close friends tell me I'll be single forever after putting these pics up lol *shrugs shoulders*
Feel free to add me over on SparkPeople.com if you have an account! My profile name is jamAKA1. Or if you just want an accountability/e-weightloss buddy, feel free to email me! :)

Congrats! 3.5lbs ain't bad at all for 2 weeks or so. Just imagine what will happen if...I mean when you start exercising.
ReplyDeleteShoot, I lost 2lbs the first week and then managed to gain 0.25lbs last week. Go figure. I haven't been working out like I should either, so this week I'm going to be sure I get the recommended fitness minutes/calories burned from SparkPeople. Hopefully when I weigh in on Saturday I will see a change.
Hey sista I know how hard it is to get to the gym just got back into it myself. I had a session with the trainer and I still feel like I was hit by a moving van:).But I just think when I'm on that treadmill how great I'll look this summer in my shorts and strapless dresses!Having a pow-wow wit my hair to right about now but like the fact that I don't have to worry about my natural napps when working out.
ReplyDeleteKEEP UP THE GOOD WORK:)
Peace&Much Luv

Very proud of you Meka! I'll be getting my rear in gear this weekend/next week! I will not let you down :) Love you!
ReplyDeleteYay you!
ReplyDeleteI started Body Gospel over at beachbody.com and the first week I lost almost 4 pounds. 2nd week 2. But since I've taken a few steps back since I fell off my eating plan.
I'm getting back on now immediately and keeping my workouts going. I think that helps me get re-motivated. And your post has definitely helped. :-)
Thank you
Congratulations. I'll definitely do what you did. I need to change my lifestyle and everything that can affect my health while losing weight.
