Misinformation Regarding "Denman vs. Tangle Teezer"!
DISCLAIMER: I have yet to try the Tangle Teezer, but I have heard countless reviews in the last 2 week of it. Many naturals are stating that they are abandoning their Denman for the TT because they are seeing less hair shed, which is definitely a legit reason and I am not knocking anyone for that.
However, many people are comparing the Tangle Teezer to the Denman D3 brush, when they have different purposes. The TT is designed to remove tangles, however, the Denman D3 is not. According to the website, www.denmanbrush.com, the Denman D3 is not designed for detangling. It is designed to "provide maximum grip and control during blow-drying for shaping hair." It's really designed more so for smoothing hair and working with it while it's in a stretched out/blown out state. If it's designed for stretched styles, then of course it's not going to glide through naturally curly/kinky hair.
Another thing is that IF you go with the Denman D3, the teeth are removable. Remove every other row of teeth to make it glide easier OR don't use it on hair that is not stretched out yet.
Just wanted to share that with you all :)
