I said that my goal for 2011 is healthier living and that I would share with you all my progress in doing so. Welp, there's not really any progress at this point except that I've lost 1 LB in 2 weeks lol BUT I know why, so I'm going to correct that! I'll do a video on this tonight!
Anywho, I saw that Lexi from www.curlscoilsandkinks.com was starting a weight loss challenge and I decided to join in! Losing weight isn't on the top-top of my list, but I know that it will be something indirectly changed by living healthier so I figured I'd join.
We were supposed to send in our current photos a week or so again and I didn't get a chance to! *smacks hand* So I figured I'd post them here along with my weight loss goals. According to the challenge, I am supposed to update you all:) on my progress, and if you all want to provide me with any tips or suggestions, then I def. will take them!
Here's my starting pic and my weight loss goals!
So, you can see I've got a little pudge in the tummy area. smh. and am considered "obese" for my height which is 5 foot 2.5 inches. (I just gained 0.5 of an inch! I'm so excited! LOL) My current goal is 160 lbs :-/ and my desired goal in 6 months is 135-140! But I'm taking it month-by-month for now! By February, I'll feel good if I'm down to 155-157!
My goals:
-Lose the hideous mid-section/ lose a few inches in my waist
-Tone up my arms
-Lose the "love handles" and tone up the obliques
-Lose a few inches in my thighs
I am currently doing cardio and strength training 3 days a week. And by 3 days, I mean, twice... last week *runs and hides in embarrassment*. Don't judge! It happens to everyone right? I promise to do better! Especially now that I've posted these embarrassing pictures!
I'll update you all weekly or bi-weekly with my progress and at the end of each month, I will answer these questions:

- Did you try anything new? Did you like it?
- How do you feel?
- Any thoughts..

ReplyDeletewe're about the same height - i'm 5' 3" & I have no idea what my current weight is but its not what I want LOL. I go to the dr on Wed so I'll find out then lol.
My goals are going to be to loose inches in my waist/hideous mid-section as well

Just be more active overall! I used to run & I really miss it, so I'm going to try to be more consistent with that!

I started my own challenge Jan 1, plus I joined two 3 month challenges on YT (160Days2Lose2 & Nluvwgd). I saw your post & decided to join Lexi's challenge as well. I suggest Sparkpeople.com, Its a FREE website that allows you to set a realistic goal (lose 1 or 2lbs a week), suggests a calorie range based on the amount of exercise you can commit to do, track your food (it will give you a meal plan if you want), and track your exercise. All you have to do is stick to it. You also get a personal page, post blogs, post pics, network, etc. SparkPeole is the best thing since whole wheat bread if you ask me. My goal is to lose 40lbs, and it has me set to do that by May 20. I followed my plan, and lost 2lbs last week just like they said I would. So you can do it.
