Agree or Disagree: Solange Is A Trendsetter

I came across an article about Solange and her ever changing looks and though I lovvveee Solange (*clears throat* and yes, I was a fan before she went natural), I was surprised to see that some people were "upset" that the article thought she was a trendsetter.

    Does her cutting her hair make her a trendsetter. In an era where so many women have decided to go the synthetic route because it's "easier" to manage. But at the same time isn't getting a hair cut based on the same principles?

    I don't think that's necessarily her hair that makes her a trendsetter, though that has a lot to do with it. People have been switching up their hair for years...

    I think her willingness to be herself sets a trend in itself, in a world full of phonies and fakes, especially in the Hollywood scene.

    Solange stepped down as the spokesperson for House of Dereon because she felt that Beyonce's clothes didn't fit her personality... she changed her music style to pursue music that represented her more.

    She refuses to be held back by the shadow of her sister and is her own person. She takes risks based on what she wants and not what people want her to be, and to me, that's what makes her a trendsetter!
