Naturals with Wigs and Weaves!

This week's Tweetin Thursdays question was:

"Do you agree or disagree with naturals using extensions, weaves, wigs, etc.?"

--
I agree... as long as it promotes the health of your hair, I'm all for it.

--i dnt c anything wrong w/ extensions and braids cus sum ppl may get tired if their hair is short and they growing it out..i think ppl r entitled 2 do wat make them happy w/o being criticized or judge by ppl

--I say to each her own. I am currently wearing my hair in kinky twist extensions to protect it from the summer heat and humidity. The emphasis is on healthy hair and if a protective style helps so be it.

-- I think thats for the individual to decide. Who am I to say I agree or disagree with how the next woman wears her hair? It has nothing to do with me just like how I rock mine has nothing to do with her!

--I like to wear weaves for versatility. Then i don't have to straighten my hair if i wear one.

 --DISAGREE. LOVE u!! STAY NATURAL.

--I think to each is own. I love the versatility and they're also great protective styles.

--I'm natural and still wear weave! It's a protective style. I like the versatility of my natural hair and all but weave prevents me from constantly straightening, curling, cuting, coloring, and manipulating my own hair. At the end and begining of the day everyone should do what's best for their hair.

--To each their own. I do wear wigs and extensions sometimes just to be versatile! As long as no chemical and or perms are touching my hair im still natural regardless.

-- I don't see the big deal, ur hair is still natural it's just in a protective style. I'm wearing flat twist but I wear my twa too. Nothing wrong with exercising options.

--Agree. whose place is it to judge?

--Disagree...I'm just sayin..

-- Not a fan myself, but hey, to each her own.

-- For fun no problem. Because their hair is "nappy" makes me feel some way.

-- I believe every natural should be natural in their own way. Wig, weave, wash-n-go, twists, straight hair, whatever.

  1. Interesting. There's always some sort of controversy when questions about being natural enough, or what is considered "natural" causes. Not saying this is one of those cases. But, who's place is it if an individual agree's approves, likes what another woman does to her hair? Let's promote unity for natural HEALTHY hair no matter what route thee natural takes? Great question!
