So y'all now I'm a devout Shea Moisture fan, and I am increasingly becoming a Walgreens fan. So I'm giving Walgreens the side eye + shaked fist for their newest company.
I was thrilled at Walgreens for brining in Shea Moisture, all whilest being proud of Shea Moisture become much more mainstream/easily accessible. I just LOVE Shea Moisture for its amazing products that are so cheap! $9.99! CAN'T BEAT THAT WITH A BASEBALL BAT!!!
Except- you can. Walgreens' newest product line, Karite, is $7 and below. lol
Here's the description of the line, from Essence.com
"Thank heaven for Walgreens' new haircare collection, Karite Special, which is formulated especially to hydrate thirsty African-American tresses. The collection includes a Nourishing Shampoo, Reconstructive Conditioner, Intensive Hair Mask, Anti-Frizz Thermo Active, and Leave-in Detangler -- and each product is spiked with a major dose of African shea butter, a powerful emollient rich in antioxidants, natural UV protectors and fatty acids that keep hair supple, glossy, and healthier than ever."
Now, the shampoo, conditioner, and DC spots aren't available in my life right now, but the Anti-Frizz Thermo Active and I may become best buds lol. *hangs head in shame*
What do you think? Will you try this brand?
I'd have to see the ingredients. I almost feel like they are trying to cash in on the success of Shea Moisture, cutting out the middle man and making their own products.
