I know what you all are thinking...finally a recipe! After all it is called Today's Menu right? Okay so I've been searching for a really good Chocolate Chip recipe and I think I found it. I've made these cookies about 3 or 4 times and they are devoured within 2-3 days. My family absolutely loves these cookies and I quote my 8 year son Dyalon..."Mom these are the greatest cookies I've ever had...seriously." Those types of responses is why I love to do what I do. : )I can't take credit for this recipe. I found it on www.allrecipes.com and it was posted by Elizabeth. I guess she only goes by one name (like Madonna). Anyhow, she calls these cookies The Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies and over 5,000 people reviewed it and it has 4.5 stars. Personally I give it 5 stars!
Here are the ingredients for the Chocolate Chip Cookies: (Yield 1 1/2 dozen)

1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate - I tried both)
Abbreviated Directions: (see link for full directions)
1. Preheat oven to 325
2 .Combine flour, baking soda & salt (set aside)
3. Cream, butter, brown & white sugar. Beat in vanilla, egg & egg yolk. Mix in flour combo. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough 1/4 cup at a time on cookie sheet.
