I hope everyone enjoyed the vinegar tips I posted a couple weeks ago. It's so many helpful tips in the book "Vinegar" by Vicki Lansky, I thought I would share a few more with you all. The information I'm noting today are all related to food...so here we go!
1. Consider a vinegar wash for meat, including poultry to kill bacteria.
2. Freshen wilted vegetables by soaking them in cold water to which you've added a spoonful or two of vinegar.
3. Turn out great rice by adding a teaspoon of vinegar to the boiling water.
4. Add just a dash of vinegar to pasta as it cooks, to make it less sticky and to cut some of its starch.
5. Keep cheese fresh longer by wrapping it in a cloth moistened with vinegar. For extra protection, store the cheese in a sealed container.
Give these 5 tips a try sometime, and share how they work for you. I tried #3 two days ago, and it worked really well. My pasta wasn't sticky at all! I will continue that one for sure.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Until next time....
