- You can sell old clothes, gadgets, and books that you no longer use to get some extra cash.
 - You can donate clothes to your local Salvation Army or Good Will. Not only will you be doing something good for your community, but charitable donations can count as a tax deduction, saving you money when tax time comes around.
 - By sorting through your old clothes you can take stock of what you actually have, which can keep you from buying something new when you have something identical in your closet….I know I’m not the only one guilty of making repeat purchases because of something I lost or forget that I owned!
 - Another thing I’m guilty of is finding items in my closet with the price tag still on it! If you find any brand new items in your closet, you can return them to the store and get your money back. This works especially well during the period after Christmas where retail stores have more relaxed return policies.
 - By sorting through your closet, you can also find old clothes that can be re-vamped into a trendy piece. Add some unique buttons to an old jacket, or cut the hem off of an oversized sweater to make it cropped, and just like that you have a D.I.Y custom item for cheaper than the retail price tag for something similar.

Hope you all have a great week!

In reference to number 4 retailers really don't like that one when you don't have a receipt and the items are beyond the return policy or out of season. If they are crazy enough to take it back they lose money because they can only sell it for the lower price that it comes up as if it is still even in the system.
