When it came time for Christmas Break, I felt it was a perfect time to go sans wig and give Freedom a chance to breathe. I blew my hair out on December 23rd and was AHH-MAZED at the amount of growth! My hair, blown out, was past my shoulders. I kept touching it to make sure it was actually mine lol. I experimented with styles, but was really so pleased with the length, that I just put it in high buns JUST BECAUSE I COULD lol. I enjoyed the versatility of just... throwing it up off my face. Can't quite do that with a wig lol.
I kept my hair "wigless" up until this past Monday, January 9. So, my hair was wigless for about 2 weeks. I didn't think I was going to really notice much of a difference when it was "business as usual" with my hair hats, but I missed Freedom :-/
To make things worse, the wig was old and I didn't feel like making a new one. I took my kids out to play a science game the other day and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO windy, I had to keep holding on to my hair lol. After that, I decided I needed to put my wig down for a while. *cues pic of wig in trash*
Now, shrinkage is something I'm going to have to get used to, because my wig was definitely more of a blown out look.... I'm not appreciating this shrinkage stuff. I may be blowing it out more and rocking it in a bun, but who knows.
I'm hoping I'll maintain the growth amount and keep it moving. I'm also hoping to be able to talk more about hair now on the blog.... I really couldn't say much these last few months because I wore wigs 95% of 2011. SO get ready to see more of my frustrations and updates about my hair; and hopefully some good things too! lol
Lol at the wig in the trash bin. Lawd knows how many days I'd die without my wig and days I'd fling it somewhere for the freedom lol.
