Valentine's Day: A Letter To My Single Ladies

Dear Single Ladies:
First, I come in peace. I am one of you lol. It's so easy around Valentine's Day to become a bitter babe. Let me tell you- I am one step away from being one. However, if there's one thing that saddens me, it's when I see women who, seriously, put themselves out there on social media sites to broadcast the fact that they 1) don't have a man and 2) are very bitter about those that do.
Can I just encourage all the single ladies out there to ENJOY Valentine's day? Do something to celebrate the fact that love DOES exists and WILL come. For some, it comes later than others, but at the same time, everyone finds love in something or someone. You don't know other people's life struggles, so don't allow other people's happiness to cause you to get in your feelings (easier said than done; I know). God knows what He's doing when it comes to your life. Trust that. Maybe He's teaching you patience by making you wait(that's what I personally think He's doing with me... I'm the most impatient person in the world lol).
If you don't have a Valentine because you're not in a relationship... really, who cares? Do something that YOU LOVE; after all, the day is about love, in general. Doesn't have to be love within a romantic relationship. Love yourself and treat yourself to a movie. Love your friends and hang out with your best friends. Love your life and profession and go out with co-workers. Love your family and take your kids on a family outting. Love others and volunteer at a local nursing home. Do something kind for strangers.
At the end of the day, just choose to love. Bitterness, at the end of the day, only impacts the bitter party. It's a feeling that is a choice. So I encourage all of my single ladies to choose LOVE!

Sincerely,
Jameka!
