BE A BLESSING; BE BLESSED ABUNDANTLY!

I.AM.LIVING.IT.UP. this summer. I've been maxin' and relaxin' and enjoying every moment of it. Being an educator has its perks!

One of the sayings that I hear often is "we're blessed to be a blessing". The person I've seen live this out to the full extent is my mom... Everything she does is to be a blessing to others. She accomplishes things, energy wise, and I have no idea how she does it; but I've certainly seen God's blessings on her life because of it.

To make a long story short- I was presented with the opportunity to teach summer school this year and was super excited because it pays a significant amount, in addition to being able to teach.

I received a phone call 2 weeks ago that I was actually offered an assistant job, that pays 60% less. Can we say blown? I prayed about and prayed for peace as I took the position. I always tell myself that God has blessed me with the talent of teaching, I cant always have the mentality of grudgingly not using those talents because in not getting the amount of money I think I should be paid; working for free or less keeps me humbled. I chose to be a blessing to others rather than be money-hungry. I told my BF the other day that "I knew there's a lesson in this situation but I couldn't put my finger on it."

I was at a tutoring session yesterday and saw a call from an unknown number (I never answer the phone but surprisingly answered). It was a call from the bookkeeper telling me that my position was upgraded to a teaching position!!! Another teacher had backed out at the last minute.

Y'all- I almost took off in a praise lap around the room! The upgraded position is triple+ what the assistant makes.

It's so amazing to see how God blesses us WAYYYY more than we can ever perceive when we submit to His will and trust His direction!

  1. Wow,that's amazing! Nothing but God. Totally a test. He placed what He knew you wanted right in front of you, & wanted to see how you would deal. I promise He knows our heart. And congrats on the position. Great post. There's nothing like being a blessing to others.
