Vitamin Gummies!

UPDATED ON MONDAY, APRIL 18, 2011

These vitamins are currently on sale at Walgreens from now until Saturday, April 23! They are BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE! That means 2 50 count bottles for the low price of $6.99!

I've been in school for almost 2 months and have yet to go to the gym. No yoga, no racquetball, no nothing :( It's quite depressing because I can tell it's having an effect on my sanity.

After Sierra's post about vitamins, I decided to try my hand at vitamins again. The Hair, Skin, and Nails supplements were overbearing because I had to gulp down too much applesauce, and I had to take 3 of them. I didn't have time for all of that lol.

SOOOO I bought GUMMY VITAMINS! Now I'm a vitamin-eating FOOL! LOL I set the jar right next to my toothbrush, toothpaste, and all of those toiletries. So I just pop 'em in. They're shaped like fruits too which brightens my day lol. And no, they aren't the Flintstones vitamins lol. They are actually One-A-Day.
They cost about $7.00. There were cheaper vitamins there (at Walmart) but I compared them and decided that the One a Days were going to be better. The Equate brand would have like, 30% of the Daily Value of the particular vitamin, while, the One a Day vitamins would have 80%. Equate brand was, of course, cheaper, but why take vitamins and then not get the daily value of them.

I know I'm not the only person who struggles with swallowing pills, so if you can't do regular vitamins or just want something that's a little bit easier, this may be something for you. The fruity shape and taste are incentive enough, well, at least to me they are.

Here's some quick information I found out about these vitamins.
As part of a healthy lifestyle it is important to get key vitamins your body may need every day.

One A Day VitaCraves Complete Adult Multivitamin Gummies contain high levels of 11 key vitamins and minerals to support:
  • Immunity with Vitamins A, C and E.
  • The Conversion of Food to Energy with Vitamins B6 and B12, and Pantothenic Acid.
  • Heart Health with Vitamins B6, B12, C, E and Folic Acid.
  • Eye Health with Vitamins A, C and E.
They don't specifically claim to help improve hair, skin and nails, but I'm at the point now where I feel like having a healthy body will help all of those things grow. Taking the vitamins consistently also helps me to be more cognizant of my lifestyle i.e. working out and foods that I eat.

Remember that the other vitamins were somehow causing breakouts for me? I attributed it to the high levels of biotin in the supplements. The One A Day multivitamins have a high level of Biotin BUT it's more like 100%  of the daily value, whereas the others were like 500%.

I'll keep you all posted!

In the meantime....
Does anyone else take these multivitamins?

  2. hahah! *inserts high five*
Do you use the One-A-Day brand? I've switched to the Target brand because I can get more bang for my buck. I checked to make sure the percentages were the same and they were! I'm able to get the 100 pack, for the same price as the One-A-Day 50 pack!
