Here are its ingredients!!!!
Ingredients: Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean), Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG 1 Trideceth 6, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Stearalkonium Chloride, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone, Panthenol, PPG 1 PEG 9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Lanolin Oil, Cinnamidopropyl Trimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Acrylamidopropyltrimonium Chloride/Acrylamide Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Benzophenone 3, BHA, BHT, Zea Mays (Corn) Oil (Corn), Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, DMDM Hydantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum)
NOTE: Ingredients are listed in the order of their percentage within the ingredient. For example, if water is the first ingredient, the product contains a high percentage of water. The top 5-7 ingredients in a product are, suggestively, the ones to focus on the most.
1. Water- Most products contain water as the first ingredient! It can make up anywhere from 50%-90% of the product!
2. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)-
3. Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean)- "Antioxidant; Fragrance Ingredient; Skin-Conditioning Agent - Occlusive; EMOLLIENT; SKIN CONDITIONING"
4. Propylene Glycol-Cosmetic form of mineral oil; serves as a humectant in products; strong skin irritant. I also found many warnings advising against products that have propylene glycol
Most ingredients past the first 5-7 are low in their concentration and hardly worth mentioning. Many are fragrances or color dye.
Conclusion: I have this product and use it off and on. Based on the information below, it has some less than favorable ingredients, especially if you prefer products that have more natural ingredients. At the same time, the main ingredients of this product are formulated to provide lots of conditioning. NOTE: This product has many products that are humectants or have humectant properties, so just be mindful of that!
Hope this helps! Let me know what other products you would like to see in this series!

I really want to try this, because my current regimen is sorta not working anymore for summer. I'm either gonna use it as a styling product for night twists, or as a styling product after washes. I'm like....losing it over here trying not to be a product junkie while half my hair is 4b/half 4c...o_o
ReplyDeleteHey Ms. Williams! I totally understand! Once you get one regimen done with certain products, it seems like your hair is stops reacting to it lol.
ReplyDeleteI believe this can serve as a great product for type-4 textures because of how thick/creamy it is. I have a similar texture and sprays, alone, just don't cut it. My hair laughs at them.
Let me know how it turns out! If you have any questions, email me!
Propylene Glycol is on my "NO" list lol
