So, remember the woman I slightly despised that I mentioned in this post? Lately there has been an extremely drastic change in her demeanor! She not only speaks to me everyday now, but she even jokes with me and makes conversation like a NORMAL person...I gotta say that I didn't realize she affected me so much because I used to try to ignore her, but in the past week and a half or so, I have noticed how nice it is to not have to always prepare myself for some smart remark or demeaning comment that she lamely blamed on her lack of food. *rolls eyes*
So what changed?
I'm not sure exactly!
However, it MIGHT have something to do with the fact that my name is now synonymous with "getting buck" with one of my superiors (which I resent because I didn't consider stating the facts as a way to advocate for children "getting buck," but I digress).
In any case, I think she might be a little impressed that the sweet little youngin actually has a backbone and is more than just a smiling face. I think she fancies herself a rebel, and I guess she saw a little rebellion in my act and took to it. Or maybe she finally got to see that I am really in it for the kids and not for the money - although I don't know too many teachers that are in it for the money (WHAT money...?)
The fact that it may have taken that for her to address me as a normal human being (though this is only speculation) makes me not want to actually trust her beyond superficial convo, but at least the change makes for a far superior dynamic in the Teachers' Lounge...
