Today's Menu: Cookie Exchange Party

Have you ever heard of a Cookie Exchange Party? Apparently this is popular around the holidays. So here's the scoop. You bake one kind of cookies and give your guests some to take home, and they do the same.  This way everyone gets to enjoy all kinds of cookies without having to bake them all by yourself.

Here's How To Get Started:

1. Make your guest list around 6-10 people.
2. Make invitations for the cookie exchange including instructions and rules
3. Predetermine if you want cookies homemade or store-bought
4. Assign cookies in advance or leave it to chance
5. Tell your guests how many cookies to bring on the invitation
6. Everyone should bring enough cookies so that each guest can leave with 6-12 cookies of each
    kind.
7. Make sure you have containers, tins, or plastic bags for packaging
8. Share your recipes (pre-print or email in advance)
9. Set up a special display table for cookies

So this seems like a fun way to get together with your girlfriends, and show your baking skills! Also if you are good at crafts, you can incorporate that as well with your invites and packaging.

Be sure to give awards for the prettiest, biggest and best tasting cookie!!!!

If you have done a Cookie Exchange before - please share your experience.  Until next time.
