Testimony Tuesday: Holiday Time

As you're reading this, you're probably recovering from Christmas or holiday festivities. Again, if you're like me, you're stuffed and feeling like a fat pig *shoulder shrug*

The holiday season is such a wonderful one! Yet, so many people get caught up on things that don't matter and miss the beauty of the season.

Christmas is a time of:'

1) REMEMBERANCE- Remembering the past; the good times and maybe even the bad. For me, it allows me to remember the birth of Jesus Christ and the precious and sweet time that it must have been.

2) HUMILITY- Humility at holiday time is fueled by the above, rememberance. How can you look back and remember what it took for God to send His son to earth and not be moved by the humility of it all?

3) FAMILY AND TRADITION- All kinds of traditions have been started through the holiday season. Some of my family's are:
  • Singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus at midnight
  • Christmas caroling at a local nursing home with those who may not get to be with their family or get out for Christmas
  • Reading the Christmas story from the Bible before opening gifts
  • Christmas Dinner--Need I say more!? lol

4) RELAXTION/REFLECTION/READJUSTMENT- The birth of Christ and the holiday season really make you sit back and reflect on where you are in life, whether it be spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc. The start of a new year brings resolutions, though I like to see them as goals.

    Thank you to visit me and to be my 20th member; I really appreciated it; To respond to your question I know a lot of people like this; I think the problem is the way they are thinking;

    They should think that if it did not work it's because it wasn't the right person for them not because men in general are bad; That's why when you put evrybody in the same label you risk to let the right person slip away; A lot of women made this mistake. And because they have been hurt by a previous relationship they want to take revenge on the next one even if this person is not responsible for their pain; Even the nice character of this person does not stop them to take revenge. I know it is sooo pathetic;Don't worry about your friend she will regret it later or sooner;
